Ideal Eyecare
The eyes have it! A partnership between us was “Ideal”
Dr. Matt Taylor is the ideal optometrist – and owner of Ideal Eyecare.
When we first started working together, Dr. Taylor needed help attracting new patients via Google and other internet searches. And we had a great “Eyedea” of where to start – the website.
Website architecture is extremely important. Not only for user experience but also for Google to accurately and effectively parse the site to display it in search results. It has to be done in an intentional way with long term goals in mind from the start.
A site also has to “look” good. And stock images just do not cut it anymore. People are more savvy than ever and can feel the fakeness of a stock image.
You want to put your best face forward, show site visitors the people they will be working with, and show them what you business looks like. We completed several days of commercial photography. Not just for the website, but we created a photo bank of evergreen images to be used in other marketing efforts – like social media, custom graphics, and e-blasts.
We rebuilt the site on WordPress and optimized all on-page aspects, wrote all of the website copy, started creating regular blog posts, created and optimized the Google Business Page, took commercial photography, and refreshed the logo. We also managed the brand’s Facebook page, and created content for the Google Business Profile post feature.
Dr. Matt did his part by providing outstanding service – so outstanding our moms are his patients – which lead to an accumulation of 200+ five-star Google reviews. He made asking for a Google review part of his daily workflow with each patient he met. When you provide an outstanding service, people are happy to oblige and share the experience.
Within 18 months, Dr. Matt had increased his business so significantly, he opened a second location in Omaha.
In addition to digital marketing techniques, we also employed use of traditional marketing. The best example of this is the billboard advertisement we created that you could “see” on a digital billboard off of 60th street and I-80; an estimated 140,000+ “eyeballs” saw this ad every day.

Our blog content (ex: “What Causes Seeing Stars?“) was outranking HUGE national brands like WebMD in search results.
When we began our SEO efforts the website was indexed in Google for approximately 75 terms. By the time our work was complete, the site was indexed for 2,500+.
